Just as we all finally get a grip on the latest design trends, it all changes again, or so it seems. The latest is Japandi, a trend that marries the styles of Scandinavian design with that of Japanese.

Similar to Scandi, another of Japandi’s essential aspects is the colour scheme, natural and neutral tones in greys, greens, and blues, combined with earthy wooden handmade furniture. The aim to create an organic, tranquil environment, using the light tones of traditional Scandinavian style, with the darker contrasting woods of Japanese design.
The similar aesthetics of either style work together to create a calm and relaxing environment, including biophilia features with the careful addition of plants, especially deep green plants.
