Look to The Pantone Color Institute for a bit of inspiration where your colour palettes are concerned for 2020, with the colour of the year newly announced as Classic Blue.
Elegant and simple, this particular shade of blue is apparently reminiscent of the sky at dusk, designed to instil a sense of tranquility and peace, helping you all turn your homes into a refuge from daily life (if that’s what you’re looking to achieve, of course!).
Executive director of the Institute Leatrice Eiseman described the shade as solid and dependable, adding: “Imbued with a deep resonance, Classic Blue provides an anchoring foundation. A boundless blue evocative of the vast and infinite evening sky, Classic Blue encourages us to look beyond the obvious to expand our thinking, challenging us to think more deeply, increase our perspective and open the flow of communication.”
Alternatively, what about Tranquil Dawn, which Dulux recently named as its colour of the year for 2020. This new shade was designed with the colours of the sky in mind, so you could find it complements Classic Blue to perfection.
